Teka Hub POS Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Teka Hub collects, uses, protects, and synchronizes data when you use the web application and the Android POS application.

1. Controller and scope

Teka Hub is a business management solution used by companies to manage sales, products, services, customers, stock, inventories, users, branches, warehouses, and reports. This policy covers the Teka Hub web application, the Teka Hub POS Android application, and the related Cloud services.

2. Data we may collect

  • Account information: name, first name, email, phone number, role, account status, and associated company.
  • Company information: business name, address, phone, email, currency, timezone, branches, warehouses, trade register, tax number, and sales settings.
  • Business data: products, services, categories, prices, VAT, stock, stock movements, inventories, sales, payments, instalments, credits, and mobile money when these modules are enabled.
  • Customer data recorded by the company: name, phone number, email, address, sales history, and information needed for receipts or invoices.
  • POS technical data: device identifier, device name, platform, app version, synchronization date, pending offline operations, and synchronization error logs.
  • Optional media: product images, user avatar, and company logo when you add them.

3. How we use data

  • Authenticate users and apply access permissions based on their role.
  • Enable online and offline sales, then synchronize operations when connectivity is restored.
  • Generate receipts, history, reports, statistics, inventories, and stock movements.
  • Avoid duplicate customers when a phone number or email already exists in the company.
  • Manage security, support, POS app updates, and error resolution.
  • Support the operational, tax, or accounting obligations of the business using the service.

4. Offline mode and synchronization

The Android POS application may store locally the data needed to work offline, including available products, stock, useful customers, cart, sales, inventories, and synchronization operations. This data keeps the app responsive without network access. When connectivity is restored, local operations are sent to the Teka Hub server through the Cloud.

5. Data sharing

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • Data is available to authorized users of the company according to their roles.
  • Some data may be processed by technical providers required for hosting, security, email delivery, backup, or infrastructure operations.
  • Data may be disclosed when required by law or to protect the rights, security, and integrity of the service.

6. Security

Teka Hub uses role-based access controls, encrypted communications when the service is accessed over HTTPS, and server-side validation mechanisms. Passwords are stored as hashes. No system is completely risk-free; users must protect their credentials and POS devices.

7. Data retention

Data is retained while the account or company uses the service, or as long as needed for business, tax, accounting, security, or support obligations. Local POS data may remain on the device until logout, app removal, device data deletion, or synchronization depending on the data type.

8. Rights and control

Depending on your role and applicable laws, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of certain data. For data owned by a company, the request may need to be validated by that company's responsible person or owner.

9. Android app permissions

  • Internet and network state: required for login, synchronization, POS updates, and Cloud access.
  • Storage/downloads: used when the user downloads an APK update or generated files, depending on the Android version.
  • Printing: used to print receipts on compatible devices when the option is available.

10. Children

Teka Hub is intended for professional use. The application is not designed to knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements, or security practices. The update date indicates the latest published version.

Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your Teka Hub POS account, associated data, or only part of your data. The procedure and affected data are described on a dedicated page.
